According to one national survey on drug use, each day approximately 6,000 Americans try marijuana for the first time. Some for recreation, others for medication. Marijuana used medically has several well-documented beneficial effects for diseases such as glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, AIDS, cancer plus many more. The federal government even recognized this up until 1937 when they made it illegal. Today 17 states including Washington D.C. have made medical marijuana available to patients who qualify. Those states include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, D.C., Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. As for the rest, freedom is a right! Americans need to stand up and make a difference! Our body, our choice, our freedom, our voice! Help spread awareness by sharing your stories!
