Because it is beneficial in literally hundreds of ways from medicinal uses, to saving the United States money! Thousands of people are in jail for a plant that was here before us! Most of them caught with a minimal amount (under $20), half of them patients and the rest are high school teens who are socializing... NOT doing crimes!
